Terms of Service

Acceptance

By uploading an image or otherwise using the Face Photo Restorer Service (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service is provided by the operator of RestorePhoto ("we", "us", "our"). Contact support@restorephoto.org with questions.

The Service

You upload a photo containing a human face. The Service sends it through safety checks and an AI restoration model and, if successful, returns a result for comparison and download. The Service is intended for personal and family-photo restoration, not forensic, ID-verification, immigration, or legal use. We may decline or stop processing for safety, legal, or technical reasons.

Your responsibilities

You confirm that you have the right to upload and process the image, including lawful authority for recognizable third parties. The image must not contain child sexual abuse material, non-consensual intimate imagery, illegal content, or content that infringes another person's rights. You must not use the Service for a sanctioned party or a purpose prohibited by applicable export-control or sanctions law. If you cannot confirm these requirements, do not upload.

AI restoration limits

AI may add plausible details not present in the original or change facial features. Results may be subtle or may not improve a damaged photo. We do not guarantee identity preservation or fitness for identity verification. Failed restorations are not charged.

Restoration uses fal.ai's hosted service; safety checks use OpenAI. We do not claim endorsement by these providers or rights to redistribute their models. See /privacy for processing disclosures.

Fees and credits

The catalog is Small Pack ($4.99 one-time, 15 credits), Family Pack ($14.99 one-time, 75 credits), Starter Monthly ($7.99/month, 60 credits), and Standard Monthly ($14.99/month, 250 credits). Sign in to start Stripe Checkout. Payment is confirmed by Stripe; a checkout request alone is not a completed payment, and checkout may be unavailable.

• Credits are used once when a restoration succeeds, not when you download: 5 credits for SD, 10 for HD, or 20 for HD-premium.

• Downloading the same result again or renewing its download link costs no additional credits.

• Failed, timed-out, safety-rejected, or cancelled-before-processing jobs are not charged and do not consume the free preview.

• Starting a new restoration that succeeds uses credits again, even if you use the same photo.

• The free preview is one-time only: one per network address, with no recurring refresh. Only a successful result uses it.

• One-time pack credits are used oldest first and expire 12 months after they are added. Monthly credits refresh every 30 days and do not roll over. The pack expiry rule does not apply to subscriptions. Do not rely on receiving an expiry reminder.

• Eligible unused credits follow the proportional refund rules in /refund. We may change future prices with reasonable notice or refuse a purchase suspected of fraud or abuse.

Refunds and failures

See /refund. Failed, timed-out, and rejected restorations are not charged. Contact support if credits were deducted incorrectly or a service fault prevents downloading a successful result. Eligible refunds go to the original payment method by default; you may request credits instead.

Safety checks and removals

We check uploaded photos and generated results. If a required safety check fails, is unavailable, or cannot be validated, the result is not provided and credits are not charged. Automated checks are not a complete detection system for illegal or exploitative content. We may keep limited records for security or legal obligations and suspend repeat abuse. Report concerns through /contact without attaching images.

Intellectual property

You retain all rights you already had in the image you upload. By uploading, you grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, transmit, and process the image solely to operate the Service for you. This license ends when we delete the image as described in /privacy, except for records retained for security or legal obligations.

The Service, its UI, configuration, documentation, and brand are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, or resell the Service without written permission.

We claim no ownership of the generated restoration result. We grant you a license to use it for personal, non-commercial purposes and for commercial purposes where you have the rights to the source image. The result is provided "as is".

Accounts and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. Google sign-in provides account access. For account deletion or subscription cancellation requests, contact /contact; there is no self-service account deletion page. Requests require review and may require verification. Photo deletion and account requests are different processes; see /privacy.

We may suspend or terminate access for violations, abuse, or legal requirements, with or without notice depending on severity. Terms that by their nature should survive termination remain applicable.

Prohibited uses

Do not upload illegal or non-consensual intimate content. Images of identifiable children may only be used for family-photo restoration by an adult with lawful authority. Do not use results to deceive others about identity or as evidence for medical, forensic, governmental, legal, immigration, or identification purposes. Do not bypass rate limits, interfere with others, exfiltrate model weights, train a competing model using the Service, or resell the Service without permission.

Disclaimers

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE". WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT THE AI RESULT WILL BE FREE OF ADDED OR ALTERED DETAILS, OR SUITABLE FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE FEES YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY, OR (B) USD $100. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitation of certain damages; in those cases the limits above apply to the maximum extent permitted.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from any third-party claim arising out of your breach of these Terms, your upload of content you had no right to upload, or your misuse of the result.

Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by Wyoming state law and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in Wyoming for disputes relating to these Terms or the Service, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. Where your jurisdiction requires access to local courts, nothing in this section limits that right. We may add an arbitration clause in a separately published revision where permitted by law.

Changes

We publish changes on this page and provide notices where required. Continued use after the effective date of a change constitutes acceptance.
